The research is made available to local communities and organisations to help better inform management decision making, while providing long term benefits to the local communities and including strategies designed to help guarantee sustainable food security.

Programme: Marine Conservation Internship Caqalai This diving and marine conservation internship offers unique opportunity to dive in, explore and protect a spectacular underwater environment. Diving in the crystal clear waters surrounding Fiji's Caqalai island, volunteers will be responsible for collecting data that will help establish community managed Marine Protected Areas and assist the community with developing sustainable management plans.

Programme: Volunteer With Children Viti Levu The aim of this community project is to support under-resourced local schools and teachers through the provision of volunteer assistance with teaching, games and activities both in and out of the classroom. This opportunity allows volunteers to build up a bond with the local children and community members while being fully immersed in Fijian culture.

Programme: Volunteer With Children Internship Viti Levu Interns will be based initially at out main base in the Dawasamu District on the east coast of Viti Levu Island. The traditional villages, dense jungle, mountains, and beautiful coastline of the area makes a truly amazing environment in which to live and work. Working in local rural schools and also in surrounding communities depending on the requirements at the time, applicants focus on providing educational activities and supporting classroom activities. Due to the long duration of the internship project, applicants will have the opportunity to really make a huge different in the early developmental stages of these local children's lives.
After the 12 week training phase conducted on our volunteer project sites, successful candidates will start a 12-week work placement with a partner organisation or assist the field team in the operation and management of our own projects. With both pathways, applicants work alongside professional teams, gaining valuable experience throughout. This internship offers the opportunity to gain additional qualifications and experience in a teaching environment, offering a fantastic starting point for developing a career in education.

Programme: Community Development Island Expedition Viti Levu This community project is located in the Dawasamu District on the east coast of Viti Levu Island. Volunteers will be working alongside local community members on a range of community development initiatives which may include fresh water management, education enrichment, environmental monitoring and mapping, income generation, waste management, health awareness, women’s empowerment and sustainable agriculture practices. All the while volunteers will be interacting with local villagers, making lifelong friends and getting thoroughly immersed in the Fijian way of life.
